Bộ Văn Hóa chính phủ liên bang Ấn Độ khuyến khích và thúc đẩy
các công trình nghiên cứu về nền Phật Giáo di sản truyền thống
tại tiểu bang Orissa.
Trong diễn văn của buổi lễ khai mạc hội nghị chuyên đề Phật Giáo
thuộc tiểu bang Orissa vào ngày thứ bảy, ông B.C.Jena, bộ trưởng
bộ văn hoá Ấn Độ, đã trình bày chính phủ Ấn Độ đang nổ lực bảo
quản và phát triễn xây dựng những khu vực thừa hưởng truyền
thống văn hoá Phật giáo nhằm thu hút khách du lịch và bảo tồn di
tích lịch sử.
Cũng theo ông Jena, những năm gần dây, Phật tử từ các nước Đông
Nam Á du lịch ngày càng chú trọng tới những di tích Phật Giáo
vốn chưa được khai phá tại tiểu bang Orissa.
Cuộc hội thảo đuợc tổ chức tại học viện Kedarnath Gabesgana
Parishda, 1 trong những học viện văn hoá nổi tiếng tại Ấn Độ,
hầu kêu gọi chính phủ và nhân dân Ấn Độ nên chú ý và phát triễn
những di sản thừa truyền văn hoá Phật giáo tại tiểu bang Orissa.
Giáo Sư A.N.Parida thuộc đại học Utkal làm chủ tọa, cưu giáo sư
của khoa lịch sử thuộc trường đại học Andhra là thuyết trình
viên chính trong buổi hội thảo, Tổng thư ký Bhagirathi Mohapatra
thuộc tiểu bang Pasishad diễn giãi những kế hoạch chi tiết và
mục tiêu của buổi hội thảo, ngoài ra còn có sự tham dự và thuyết
trình của cựu cảnh sát cao cấp tiểu bang Orissa, ông Archive
Mahesh Prasad Das.

BHUBANESWAR: The Department of Culture of the State Government
would encourage research on the Buddhist heritage of Orissa.
Inaugurating a national seminar on Buddhism in the State here on
Saturday, the Cultural Commissioner of the State , B.C. Jena,
revealed that the thrust of the State Government has been on the
conservation and renovation of the Buddhist heritage sites in
the State and promotion of Buddhist tourism as well.
Of late, tourists from the South Asian countries, which are
dominated by people who are religiously following Buddhism, are
taking keen interest in Orissa’s hitherto unexplored Buddhist
heritage sites, he added.
The seminar was hosted by the city-based Kedarnath Gabesgana
Parishad, one of the famous institutions, which are promoting
Orissa’s culture.
While Parishad secretary Bhagirathi Mohapatra elaborated the
objectives of the seminar, professor A.N. Parida of Utkal
University chaired it.
Former professor the Department of History, Andhra University C.
Somsundar Rao delivered the key-note address on the occasion.
Former superintendent of the Orissa State Archive Mahesh Prasad
Das also addressed the meet.
