Sách âm nhạc Phật Giáo đầu tiên tại Mã Lai với nốt nhạc dành cho
đàn piano cùng với lời và hòa âm đàn ghi ta đã được phát hành.

Giáo nhiệt tình của Hội Phật Giáo Setenang. Tập nhạc Phật Giáo
với tên gọi Dharma Tunes Quyển 1 nhằm mục đích đề cao và phổ
biến âm nhạc Phật Giáo mang ý nghĩa giáo lý Phật Giáo và làm cho
nhạc Phật giáo trở thành một phần của văn hóa trong các cộng
đồng Phật Giáo. Chủ bút Tập Nhạc Dharma Tunes, Chong Su Lim, nói
rằng phải mất 9 tháng để hoàn thành tập sách này.
Trước khi ấn hành tập sách này,
các bài nhạc Phật Giáo đã được phát hành thường không có nốt
nhạc, làm cho việc học thuộc bài hát trở nên rất khó khăn. Chúng
tôi hy vọng rằng tập nhạc này sẽ được các cộng đồng Phật Giáo sử
dụng khắp nơi, đặc biệt là trong các Trường Lớp Phật Giáo Chủ
Nhật, ông Chong nói như trên.
Ông nói rằng 1000 bảng copy được
tài trợ miễn phí của tập nhạc này sẽ được gủi đến cho các tổ
chcức Phật Giáo và các trường học Chủ Nhật. Phân phối các tập
sách nhạc này đến cho các trường Chủ Nhật, chúng ta sẽ làm cho
nó trở nên cụ thể hơn để cho các trẻ em có thể học hỏi Phật Pháp
qua các bài hát. Chúng tôi dự định sẽ đưa ra phân phối cho các
tiệm sách trong sáu tháng tới.
Ông nói thêm rằng ngoài các tổ chức
Phật Giáo ở Klang Valley, quyển sách cũng sẽ được phân phối đến
các vùng Penang, Nam Mã Lai và ngay cả Singapore.

là một người tật nguyền, tôi nên trả lại cho xã hội thay vì chỉ
có nhận vào"
Ra mắt tập Volume 1 hôm Chủ Nhật,

Saranankara hồi tưởng về các vần điệu mang âm hưởng Phật Giáo
mà Sư hay hát lúc còn nhỏ.

ta có thể làm cho trẻ em thích thú với các vần điệu. Đây là một
công trình đầy đủ với cả nốt nhạc"
Trong
buổi ra mắt, học sinh từ Trường Phật Giáo Chủ Nhật Đại Từ và
Ban nhạc Phật Giáo iGemz đã trình diễn các bài nhạc trong tập
sách. Ban nhạc i Gemz cũng đã cung cấp phần hòa âm cho đĩa CD
phát hành chung với tập sách.
Tập
nhạc Phật Giáo Dharma Tunes 1 dày 112 trang với 33 bài hát, âm
điệu từ cổ điển đến hiện đại nhất. Tập sách cũng được chia ra
làm 2 phần, phần 1 dành cho các ca sĩ và đàn ghi ta, phần 2
dành cho đàn Piano và nốt phím.
Tập
sách được ra mắt ngày 31 tháng 8 để tưởng niệm Cố Đại Lão HT
K.Sri Dhamma-nanda năm thứ hai

THE first ever Malaysian-produced Buddhist song book, which
comes with music notation for piano as well as lyrics and guitar
chords, has been published.
Produced by Buddhist music enthusiasts from Setenang Buddhist
Society, Dharma Tunes Volume 1 is aimed at promoting and
popularising Buddhist music that is inspired by Buddha’s
teachings, and making Buddhist singing part of the culture of
every Buddhist community.
Dharma Tunes editor-in-chief Chong Su Lim said that it took nine
months for the team to come up with the book.
“Prior to this publication, published materials for Buddhist
songs did not contain music notation, making it very difficult
to learn the songs. We hope that the song book will be used by
Buddhist societies everywhere, especially in Buddhist Sunday
Schools,” he said.
Let’s sing
together:

He
said that 1,000 free copies of the song book, which were
sponsored, would be distributed to Buddhist organisations and
Sunday schools.“By distributing them to Sunday schools, we will
make it possible for the children to learn Buddha’s teachings
through the songs.
“We are planning to make the book available at book stores in
six months’ time,” he said. He added that in addition to
Buddhist organisations in the Klang Valley, the books would also
be distributed to those in Penang, South Malaysia and even
Singapore.
“This is an opportunity for me, as a disabled individual, to
give back to society instead of being on the receiving end,” he
said.
As the book is Volume 1, Buddhist music enthusiasts can look
forward for more volumes to come.Launching the book on Sunday,
Chief Ven. B. Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera reminisced about
the Buddhist hymns he used to sing when he was a child.

“We are able to get the children’s interest through hymns. It is
a complete package with music notes,” he said. At the launch,
Maha Karuna Buddhist Society Sunday School students and Buddhist
musical group i.Gemz performed songs from the song book. i.Gemz
provided the vocals for the audio CD that comes with the song
book.
The 112-page Dharma Tunes Volume 1 features 33 Buddhist songs,
from timeless classics to the latest compositions.The book is
divided into two sections: Section 1 is for singers and
guitarists, while Section 2 contains piano and keyboard
notes.The book also comes with an audio CD that contains five
previously unrecorded songs from the book, in sung and minus-one
versions for easy sing-along.Other features include ways to
start a singing group and a list of Core Buddhist Tea-chings.
The book was launched on Aug 31 in commemoration of the second
anniversary of the passing of the Venerable Dr K Sri
Dhamma-nanda.
